Sam began his career in 1980 as a sales representative for Walker Wire and Steel Company in Ferndale, Michigan. His success, coupled with a desire to help others, led Sam to embark on a career in training and development. After seven years of conducting sales and human resource (HR) related training for various organizations, Sam landed his first position as a human resources manager. In 1998, he joined Nextel Communications as their senior manager of training and development for the Great Lakes Region (Michigan and Ohio). Within 8 months, Sam was promoted to the position of senior manager of human resources. Sam led a team of human resources professionals who supported the functional area of Service & Repair. Sam’s team of eight supported 2400 employees in 720 locations (retail stores, services centers, and co-locations) across the United States. After Nextel was purchased by Sprint in 2005, Sam was promoted to Sr. Human Resources Relationship Manager. He was the strategic business partner for the Sr. Vice President of Enterprise and Public Sector Sales. This was a 15 Billion dollar division of Sprint/Nextel.
Along with working in corporate America, Sam had been a college professor for 23 years. Sam teaches human resources and training & development courses in both undergraduate and graduate. Sam had earned his BBA in Marketing, MSM in Management and a Ph.D. in Organizational Management.
Shortly after moving to Florida in 2013, Sam decided to sell real estate. He saw many similarities in the professor of human resource management and real estate. Specifically the need for strong “client support” and the need for “attention to detail”.
